Federica Santini, 34 years old, graduated at LUISS Guido Carli University, is currently Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer at Italferr s.p.a., Ferrovie dello Stato Group’s engineering firm, both active in Italy and in several foreing markets. At Italferr, she manages a wide business unit serving different topics such as business planning, M&A, sustainability, quality, innovation and ICT.

Until September 2016, she was Chief Strategy Officer at Trenitalia s.p.a, where she was in charge of business plannning, M&A, investiments, strategic positioning, channels’innovation and sustainability. She was also responsible for all the international activities carried out by Trenitalia.

Previously, she worked for Ernst&Young – EY, where, until april 2016, she –within the Transportation industry of the Performance Improvement Department, served several clients both public and private, such as Ministry of Infrastructures and Transports, European Commission, Gruppo Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane s.p.a., SEA Aeroporti, several Port Authorities etc.

Since 2009 she has been collaborating with the DG Programming and International Projects of the Italian Ministry of Infrastructures and Transports, focusing on strategic planning and national and European funding allocation, both with the DG’s and the Cabinet of the Minister.
